It is a heater with an IP rating no lower than IPX5. Regardless of the rating, we do suggest that you should always strive to keep your heater away from water as they will last longer. Many outdoor electric heaters are IPX4 rated and these heaters are only showerproof and should not be left outside in heavy rain or snow. Check the manufacturers technical specifications carefully.
