Connecting your parasol heater

Under EU regulation the Shadow Parasol heater must be supplied with a maximum 1.8m power cable. If you require additional flexibility, we recommend our waterproof extension power connector. You can add it under additional items under the add to basket button.

The waterproof connector is used to replace the existing plug and give additional distance from the power source but additional flexibility in routing the cable for your particular table or parasol pole.

• The heater must be mounted in a well ventilated area.
• There must be at least a 0.25m clearing between the heater and ceilings / roofs
• There must be at least a 0.5m clearing between the heater and adjacent walls / fabrics
• There must be at least a 1.8m clearing between the bottom edge of the heater and the floor

When using a 3kW heater in commercial premises or other locations where the heaters are used continuously for long periods of time then it is advisable to consult an electrician. A 3kW heater used for long periods of time may need to be hard wired into a 20A fused spur rather than used in a standard 13A socket.
