Low installation costs
Each of the quad heaters has a 750 watt heater giving excellent heat output.
The total heat under the parasol is therefore 3000 watts. Importantly this
load can be managed by a standard 13 amp supply. This not only maximises the
heat potential, it also means that smaller commercial establishments will not
need to make changes to their existing electricity supplies, representing a
significant saving in installation costs
Easily mounted
Using a unique system, this quad heater can be easily mounted or demounted to
parasol poles with diameters from 60mm to 100mm. It is a one piece unit, with
heaters attached that clamps around the pole. Mounting the unit correctly can
also mean that parasols can be folded down whilst the heater is still in
position – this is a real asset on busy sites
Low maintenance costs
The heaters are safe to use outdoors but must always be protected by the
parasol from rain. The heaters have a specially designed lamp that will
deliver at least 5,000 hours of life – up to 5 times more than the glass
fronted heaters commonly seen in this application. This gives a real saving in
maintenance costs running to hundreds of pounds over a 3 year period
ND Heat and Light technology
The special lamp featuring ND technology from Victory Lighting is multi-
functional in this application, giving both heat and light. The heat is short
wave infrared giving heat from the moment of switch on and all the benefits of
infrared technology listed below. The light is a pleasant warm light,
equivalent to a 60 watt bulb per quad heater
Low running costs
The whole heater will cost around 30 pence per hour to run, a fraction of the
cost of running a gas heater (based on electricity costing around 10p per KW
hour)
Stays in Position
The fitting has been designed to allow most 8 arm square parasols to fold up
with the fitting in position
Control Equipment
To control the installation, a timer is available that can be pre-set from 10
to 150 minutes. This can give enormous savings in electricity costs over the
course of a year. Press for heat and light! For full details ask for the
HLOTIM leaflet.
